Pinot Noir Holy Chapel 2020
The Holy Chapel in Bockenheim has been a mystical place for millennia, a site of pilgrimage and worship. Fertile loess soil meets an underground water vein/spring, combined with a limestone subsoil. This is strongly reflected in the Pinot Noir Holy Chapel. Every year, the vineyards around the chapel are the most vigorous and vibrant, even in dry years the vines grow high. The result is consistently the most structured and mineral-driven wines.
We therefore give the wines the time they need: three years in used barriques, followed by two to three years of bottle aging. Only 300 bottles per vintage. High-end Pinot Noir, so elegant yet complex, it surpasses many others.
